Be prepared for one of the sleaziest, most bizarre films you’ve ever seen. Directed by Custódio Gomes, during the classic “Boca do Lixo” era of brazilian porn, “Alucinações…” features the greatest small actor of the history of the movie industry, Anão Chumbinho (roughly translated as “Pellet Midget”) dressed as a monkey and having sex.
“Alucinações Sexuais de um Macaco” (“Sexual Hallucinations of a Monkey”) tells the story of a woman that works in a porn filming set. She gets so bored she starts to daydream about a monkey after she sees an ape suit in her room. After that, the monkey goes down to business.
This is obviously a film made with a really low budget, few sets and a not-so-good-looking cast. It even “recycles” some of the fuckscenes of other movies from Boca do Lixo, such as “Sexo Ardente” by Fauzi Mansur. Even the soundtrack was stolen directly from “Dune” and from Jean Michel Jarre albums.
As in a lot of Boca do Lixo films, some of the scenes feature bisexual and shemale sex, which was amazing when you think this was mainstream porn, played downtown in theathers. In this one, Zé Ruela has anal intercourse with a girl, only later to find out “she’s” a “he”: the transexual Patrícia Petri. This was only possible back in the days of sincere, unrestricted, anti-PC, unrepressed porn.
“Alucinações Sexuais de um Macaco” is of the finest examples of oldschool brazilian porn (if you like this sort of stuff, of course). Bizarre for some, nostalgic for others, but mostly a curious historical document of one of the most unbeliveable movements insouth american (trash) cinema.
