In short: sanctimonious and naive eco-drama, based on the director’s experience, about a young film-maker shooting a doc in an Amazonian tribe, falling in love with the hot daughter of the chief and fighting loggers.
Nicolas, a young documentarist lands in an Indian village of the River Xingu to film the Kuarup ceremony. There he instantly falls in love with LUACEMA, Chief Ayupu’s daughter. In order to get closer to the young woman he secretly loves, Nicolas participates more and more in the Indians’ daily life. After having been introduced to local customs, he becomes aware of the impending threat: deforestation. After several intimidation fights against Olimpio Ferra and his men, Ayupu realizes that Nicolas’ camera can actually be used as a fierce weapon in their protest. Through that Amazonian experience, Nicolas discovers a meaning of his life : fighting against ignorance and carelessness.
