In the series of films spotlighting sexy actress Lilli Carati, we here have
an erotic comedy version of the “haunted house” scenario. Carati and
utterly hopeless husband Vincenzo Crocitti check into a castle hotel, not
of course suspecting that such places can be inhabited by ghosts. In this
case the house ghost is of a peculiarly libidinal variety, and needless to
say, Carati becomes the object of its attentions. Invisible to human eyes,
the ghost slips into Caratis’s bath, and delights in the touch of her skin.
Poor Crocitti takes the blame for this uncouth behavior, even if he is in the
next room. And so it goes during the couple’s stay at the castle… in bed, at
dinner, and at any other opportunity, the ghost plays with the gorgeous Carati,
while Crocitti receives the scoldings (and the credit), and ends up in a number
of embarrassing situations designed by the ghost to keep him out of the way.
In all its silliness, it is easy to overlook how naughty the film actually is; Carati’s
charm on the other hand is difficult to overlook… and the filmmakers do give
us ample opportunity to look.
