At a female prison located deep within the deadly South American jungles, a group of woman are forced to mine for valuable emeralds for the local corrupt government. A group of new prisoners on the way to the jail are ambushed and are convinced to join a group of revolutionaries seeking to overthrow the prison guards and take the treasure of jewels for themselves. The story builds to an explosive climax that sees the rebels and the guards engaged in a fierce battle. Though more of a jungle adventure than a “woman in prison” film due to it’s mostly exterior jungle locations. The film does not skimp on the prerequisite necessities for exploitation; rape, whippings, torture, sex (lesbian and straight), cat fights, and shower scenes all ad up to a very entertaining film that pushes the line of soft core and even jumps into hard-core for a few moments. Starring Anthony Steffen, Ajita Wilson, Christina Lai, Stelio Candelli, Franco Daddi, Maristella Greco. Shot by Edward G. Muller (Edoardo Mulargia) at the same time as his other WIP/jungle film Escape From Hell, with much of the same cast. Footage from both films was used in the 1985 film Savage Island.
