From the prolific West German director Eberhard Schröder responsible for some of the Schüler and Hausfrauen Report films comes a true rarity, to my knowledge the only Abortion Report film to be produced.
This film follows the Report film formula to an extent showcasing shorts that all have a common theme bookend by a short wrap around story that ends in irony. The stories featured run the gamut from quirky to exploitive.
The main attraction of this film is the early appearance by the (then young) queen of exploitation Sybil Danning. Her role is small but she still finds time to un-robe for the camera, a real treat for Danning fans.
There has been some confusion in the past about this title, it was originally released in West Germany in 1971 and later exported to the states by United International Pictures in 1974 as THE JOY OF LOVE. Also released in 1974 was the WIP film, Girls in Trouble. It has been believed for some time these two movies were the same. They are in fact two totally different pictures not related in any sense. This is still not widely known which would explain the fact that the gray market video service I ordered this from had the poster for Girls in Trouble as the cover art for this film.
A word about quality:
I have to say this is not up to what I would call that standard. But I can say with all honesty this is the only print I’ve seen out there. With that being said read on for important details.
