Young man arrives at his father’s country house during a hot summer in the 70’s. He finds that his father, a successful artist, has a new model and lover who really enjoys a ride on horseback. Mutual attraction between the youngsters is inescapable, something that Father sees as fine inspiration for his work. Horse and motorcycle rides, memories of a dying mother, gramophone
records and flower power, along with the old artist’s increasing senility, gradually make this family love triangle (not including the horse) take up exploding dimensions.
If there was an Animal Rights Org. in Greece in the 70’s they would have probably sued the producer for horse maltreatment… Instead, it was the film’s actress who sued him for allowing the film to be re-edited to an X-rated version while she had no idea about it. If I’m not mistaken, she won the case at court and all this finally helped the film’s wider publicity/notoriety, depending on how you look at it.
